North East clothing and community brand Show Up Club has teamed up with Wylam Brewery to launch a limited-edition can for International Women’s Day – putting women front and centre in a space traditionally dominated by men.
The one-off collaboration features real members of the Show Up Club community on the can design, bringing together two independent brands that share a focus on creativity, community and championing the people who support them.
Photography for the release was captured by North East creative LM Visuals NE, spotlighting Show Up Club customers and team members rather than professional models. The artwork itself was designed by the brand’s founder, Georgia Nichol, keeping the project female-led from concept through to final production.
Founder Claire Goodliff said: “It was important to us that the women on the can were real. These are the women who show up every week – in trainers, in workwear, in whatever version of themselves they arrive in that day.
“This collaboration is about visibility. It’s about seeing women represented clearly and confidently, not as a side note but as part of the story.”
The limited-edition cans will be available from Wylam Brewery and selected independent stockists from 6th March, with the release pouring across Wylam venues and partner spaces throughout International Women’s Day weekend.
To celebrate the launch, the brands will host an official International Women’s Day event on Saturday 7th March, featuring a two-hour silent disco in central Newcastle from 2–4pm. Ticket holders will receive a can of the special release along with exclusive Show Up Club merchandise.
With only a limited production run available, organisers expect the cans to sell out across the weekend.
