YOLO Ponteland

Ponteland is set for a stylish new addition to its social scene as Yolo Ponteland prepares to close, with popular wine and coffee concept Say When taking its place.

The Bell Villas venue has been sold by Danieli Leisure to hospitality operators Joe and Ollie Brack, the brothers behind seven North East ventures, including cult favourite Brack Burger. They will replicate their successful Say When format in Ponteland following its strong demand at their Gosforth site.

Dubbed the place to go “from latte to last call”, Say When serves coffee, curated wines and small plates – and guests even have the freedom to put their own glass.

Joe Brack said: “We have had an amazing response to Say When in Gosforth and we’re very excited to be bringing the brand to this fantastic site in Ponteland.”

Neil Winch, the hospitality entrepreneur behind Yolo Ponteland, added: “We have had some fantastic years at Yolo Ponteland and we are very grateful for all of the support we have had from everyone in the village.

“It felt the right time for us to move away and allow a totally new concept to take up residence and having worked with Joe and Ollie previously, we know they are exactly the right operators to take this venue on the next stage of its journey.”

Yolo Ponteland will open its doors for the final time on Saturday 28th February 2026 before the keys are handed over to the Brack brothers. An official opening date for Say When has yet to be announced, so stay tuned for further updates on this brand-new hangout.
