Pine collects a national award for its sustainable wine list
Restaurant Pine in Northumberland continues to make its mark as one of the UK’s most exciting sustainable dining destinations.
Last month, the restaurant was recognised at the Star Wine List of the Year Awards UK, taking home a Silver Star in the Sustainable Prize category for the second year running. The award celebrates not only the quality of Pine’s thoughtfully curated wine list, but also its environmental ethos.
The awards, now in their sixth year in the UK, were hosted by Star Wine List’s Liora Levi and Rachel Fellows, with the event bringing together some of the country’s leading wine professionals to reveal this year’s Gold and Silver Star recipients.
Pine’s Restaurant Manager and Head Sommelier, Vanessa Stoltz, said: ”We’re incredibly proud to have retained our Silver Star in the Sustainable Prize category for the second year running. It’s a real testament to the work the whole team puts into ensuring our wine list reflects the same sustainable ethos as our kitchen, and we’re delighted to see that commitment recognised once again on a national stage.”
