Tyne Bridge
I’m kickstarting my list with Newcastle’s most defining landmark and the place that symbolises ‘home’ to so many: the Tyne Bridge. And whichever angle you capture, it’s a stunner!
High Level Bridge
Standing at 112-feet above the Tyne’s high water mark, the High Level Bridge is the place to go for those moody and dramatic urban shots.Â

Okay, so this is actually in Gateshead, but as one of the region’s most striking sculptures, the Angel of the North deserves pride of place on your Instagram profile.
Grey's Monument
Sitting at the intersection between Grey, Grainger, and Blackett Street – Grey’s Monument overlooks some of Newcastle’s finest architecture.Â

This Grade II listed Edwardian shopping arcade boasts beautiful mosaic floors and a glass barrel-vaulted roof, all brimming with period charm.

This tucked-away courtyard in one of the city’s oldest pubs is all about the Toon’s black and white army, with its bunting setting the scene for a lively atmosphere.
