The food: The Full Brekky includes two butcher’s sausages, back bacon, a roasted tomato, grilled flat mushroom, baked beans, eggs to your liking and toasted Northern Rye sourdough.

The vibe: A cool cafe and outdoor terrace in Whitley Bay with laid-back beachy feels and a coastal-inspired decor.
The food: The Beach House Breakfast is a winning combo of bacon, pork sausage, Stornoway black pudding, fried egg, field mushroom, roast tomato, beans and toast.
And another thing: Pair your brekkie with a brisk walk along the beach, just across the road, and soak up the salty sea air.
The vibe: Located in the quaint market town of Morpeth, this independent cafe feels like home from home.
The food: The Market Breakfast ticks all the boxes, with sausage, bacon, baked beans, halloumi, fried egg, field mushroom, roasted tomato, potato rosti and toasted sourdough.
And another thing: You can double up on meat and eggs for just £4.
The vibe: A stylishly decked out cafe and bar in Darras Hall, with a towering tree and skylight as the centrepiece.
Eat this: Okay, so technically not a full English, but the ‘build your own’ is close enough. Pick from toasted bread, croissant or crepe, and then select four tasty toppings from a choice of 15 items.
And another thing: Browse its beautifully curated lifestyle store next door, stocked with homewares, accessories and unique gifts.
The vibe: A charming bistro tucked away in Felling, decorated with bunting and colourful pom poms draped in the windows.
The food: Order the Original Breakfast and tuck into two bacon floddie potato cakes, Lincolnshire sausages, smoky cassoulet beans, thyme roasted mushrooms, toast, and poached, fried or scrambled eggs.
And another thing: The cafe is housed in what used to be Victorian stables, with the main house dating back to the 1840s.
