Award-winning writer, comedian and music journalist Marc Burrows is bringing The Britpop Show to The Stand in Newcastle on 30th April 2026 – and it’s shaping up to be a riot of 90s anthems and nostalgia.
Marking 30 years since the legendary Blur vs Oasis chart battle (yes, really), this stand-up show dives headfirst into the rivalries, hype, personalities and unforgettable music that defined 90s Britpop.
During his career, Marc has interviewed some of Britpop’s biggest names, and this show is described as ‘equal parts love letter and playful send-up’ that explores the legacy of this era.
Directed by Dec Munro, The Britpop Show blends comedy, cultural commentary and nostalgic mayhem into one unforgettable night.
