Kenny Atkinson’s two fine dining restaurants in Newcastle city centre have retained their Michelin Stars.
Quayside restaurant, House of Tides, which was first awarded a star in 2015, has marked its 12th consecutive year holding the accolade – an impressive milestone.
Meanwhile, sister restaurant Solstice (also on the Quayside and located just around the corner) celebrated retaining its Michelin Star for the fourth-year running.
Both restaurants – each with its own unique identity and style – showcase Kenny Atkinson’s produce-led cooking philosophy and champion exceptional local ingredients delivered with creativity.
Kenny Atkinson said: “To see House of Tides retain its Michelin Star for a 12th consecutive year is something I’m enormously proud of. That level of consistency only comes from relentless attention to detail and the commitment of a team that really cares about what they do.
“Equally, for Solstice to retain its star for a fourth year is hugely rewarding and reflects how confidently the restaurant has found its stride under Scott’s leadership. Both teams should be incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved; these awards belong to them.
“To see Newcastle represented so strongly on the Michelin map is something I’m genuinely grateful for.”
